RIFT is a feedback-time theory rather than a product module. It tries to reason about systems where event timing, attention weight, relation-driven meaning, and prediction difficulty depend on dense feedback loops.

The connection to TightLoop is that residual error is often temporal before it is large. A controller misses not only because the error is big, but because the correction arrives with the wrong timing, too much persistence, or insufficient context.

That is visible in both motion control and Sentinel. In motion systems, the remaining wobble may be an interaction between delay and overcorrection. In forecast-to-action systems, a one-step forecast miss should not always produce an immediate operational escalation.

RIFT is useful as a design language for those questions. How much should a recent event matter? How fast should the system forget? When does repeated weak evidence become a regime shift?

The product layer still has to prove itself numerically. RIFT is background theory; replay and validation decide whether the idea is useful.
