Adaptive camouflage as residual contrast control
The camouflage-control experiment treated visible and thermal contrast as something a controller can reduce. Instead of stabilizing a camera or tool, the system adjusts tile targets to reduce contrast and tracking quality.
The connection to TightLoop is again residual error. Here the residual is not position or warning risk; it is what remains detectable after the baseline appearance model acts.
This is not an immediate product line. It has hardware, safety, legal, and domain constraints that make commercialization very different from software assist or predictive maintenance.
But it remains useful as a research card because it shows the architecture applied to another kind of signal: an adversarial visual/thermal residual rather than a motion residual.
The most practical lesson is abstraction. TightLoop is not tied to one sensor. It is a way of asking what residual signal still carries value loss, risk, or detectability after the normal system has already acted.
